A signal for change

The Neeld Arms, Grittleton

Business development

This is a free house pub in rural Wiltshire, owned and run by Charlie and Boo West, whose mantra is ‘Proud to be a proper pub’. Marketing and mentoring has been provided on a one-to-one basis during a period of significant investment and development of the business.

Mentoring and marketing

Within months of first meeting, a brand plan was jointly agreed to energise the business including relocation of bar, changes to furnishings, lighting, pictures and redecoration throughout including permanent sites for ‘click-lock’ event posters. Liaising with outside agencies, the web-site was redesigned and designs provided for event posters and local advertisements.
The role developed to one of business coach to include coaching on recruitment, job descriptions and team management.
The underlying business performance has grown significantly in terms of turnover, with profitability increasing as a result of increased food and accommodation sales.
The new web-site, which including a few photos provided by me can be seen here.
